I have the exact same thoughts! it took me awhile to come to that thought process but eventually i did...at first i was sad and pissed that they killed kaname off and left yuki annoying as ever but i came around
I respect your opinion but mine is the opposite in the beginning the manga was fun and interesting to read but after Yuuki became a vampire it all went downhill for me. It started getting annoying and later in I became bored with the story. However, I wanted to see how it ended though so I stuck out till the end. Mainly because I wanted to see who that pest Yuuki would choose between Kaname and Zero. Whatever the case is though even though the main manga was dull to me, I like the extra chapters that were released they are cute.
as a big vampire knight fan ... more precisely Kaname fan lol ... the manga was awesome & i enjoyed every part of it & the ending wasn't that bad as most people complaining. it was obvious from the start that in every occasion Yuuki chose Kaname over Zero cause her love for him & the bond between them as pure bloods was stronger but that didn't mean she didn't has feelings for Zero & Kaname accepted that fact ... so the only way that she would ever end up with Zero was to make it impossible for her to be with Kaname & that what happened .. & yes i do think that she took advantage of Zero's feeling for her cause even though he knew he would always be her 2nd choice she was always 1st for him "yeah he loved her more than she loved him which is sad" the ending was very logical specially after revealing the real identity of Kaname & all the ancestors matter that only his scarify can maintain the balance between humans & vampires. the matter of vampire cure that some people thought it was a crap was the most logical thing to make it safe for Kaname to come back alive as a human or else the same pure blood problem as happened with yuuki before will start all over so as a matter of fact Yuuki who loved him so much to the point not using the cure on her self & gave the chance for Kaname to live as a human in a safe world where he could live & die peacefully without greed to his pure vampire blood. For me for Kaname to have a peaceful life after all the hardships he had in his vampire life was the most wonderful ending + not being left alone .. he has his own daughter & Zero's son for his new journey & sure he can fall in love again so i'm so happy for him ... say what ever you want but the manga was perfect for me (▰˘◡˘▰)
