And you all need to calm down about the rape… this isn't real life, it's a manga. Chill.
I am personally ok with pretty much everything when it comes to yaoi (violence, rape, shota, bondage, etc.) because I think it's hot and I know that it isn't real. I am so NOT ok with rape in reality and I would never support it irl, but here I think it's fine.
I know we all have our different tastes and I completely understand that, but stop hating on this piece and these characters just because you don't like what happened.

Realism is a big deal for every fictional matter. Personally, I think we all have our kinks and that's okay -- shotacon, lolicon, watersports, rape, BDSM, guro... but there is a difference between a hentai manga that exists purely for people to get off on, and manga with a story. It is not a good idea to portray rape as something minor. Many, many yaoi (and even shoujo) manga do this and act like it's either the victim's fault, or they should get over it because their partner loves them.

That is sick -- it's sick to send out the message that (domestic) rape is okay. Sure, you and I and plenty of other people understand that it's not reality, but there will also be people who think it's fine as long as the rapist/abuser loves the victim. And that's how people end up in an abusive relationship and think it's okay because their partner "loves" them, or even go as far as think they deserve it.

I don't mind rape in manga (or anything else that would be considered "hardcore"), but I do mind unrealistic situations for the sake of causing some tension.
