Since this is fictional, I don't really get strung up on the fact that there's rape since like I said, this is a fictional piece or work, but I don't think you shouldn't not "blame Shinya for what he became coz he wasn't loved enough" because then that would mean rape should be excused if it appears that the rapist wasn't loved enough. Not being loved doesn't excuse your actions at all if you've been socialized because rape is a choice, not an instinct. Also, taking all of his brother's lovers? This is not a single event, this is a pattern of problematic behavior. I'm not criticizing you for saying don't blame Shinya but that sort of "oh it's all good" mentality can influence you in real life. Yaoi is not real life but you are, and yaoi can be an influence upon you. I personally think the author put the rape as a plot element and that annoys me 'cause I've read plenty of good mangas that didn't need its main character to be raped for a fun plot element in order for it to be good. Also, is it even realistic that a victim will get together with their rapist??? Well, it's yaoi -__-
I know ur right but I said that coz I know its fictional, n I thought since the raper n the victim ended up together with both mutual feelings... Its all good. However if it had happened in real life I don't think I would have this same happy ending feeling... And for you its becoz of the plot that ur not satisfied with and as for me I'm fine with that plot for a fictional story... Different opinions n taste... But thanks for sharing ur feeling... (￣∇￣")
