The movie is not as exciting as the anime itself of course.. Mikasa's not exactly what I hope to be.. And where is Capt. Levi..??? He's one of the main reason I read and watch SnK.. I mean,, who wouldn't like that badass.. But in the end,, it was still worth it..
Totally a shitty movie. Excuse me for my words but the Live Action was a flunk, a total insult to SnK. They did turn this amazing series into some crappy love story. And have you seen Captain Shikishima who supposedly adapted Heichou's character? He's a total shit of a character here. Gawd. Heichou will probably slice him into smithereens if he sees his movie counterpart. I can rant about this in million words but the bottom line will always be, it's a shitty movie if you will compare it to the manga or the anime.
AH no no no....i think they tried afterall they have to try to make it look real, which hard....so i still believe it was a good try so well done to them

The movie was total shit, except for some good moves towards the end. Ruined the storyline and character goals/motives. Levi left out. Erwin left out. No mother-eaten scene, pivotal. Just total crap. (Miura Haruma is still hot, though.)
Ok I have a split opinion on the movie, as the avid manga reader and as an open-minded viewer.

As the manga reader I was sorely disappointed that they've changed so many aspects that made Shingeki no Kyojin that way it IS. For one thing, they've changed SO MANY CHARACTERS... I don't even recognise (name, not faces) most of them! Like 'Who are you and what are you doing in this movie?!' They've also changed a few plot devices! Like Eren's parents, Carla's (eren's mother) scene etc. Also they've somewhat altered the personalities of Eren, Armin and Mikasa! WHY?! Also the technology of the SNK World! ABSURD!
They've also added romance to it, in the manga there is hardly to NO ROMANCE, why are you adding such a useless genre that isn't/shouldn't even the main focus/point of the movie? (Unless you ship ErenxMikasa I guess).

As an open-minded viewer (I was prepared for the worst), the movie wasn't AS terrible as people say it was. The movie still nailed the Soundtrack, the scariness of Titans, the tension, the brutality of titans and a few others! It was probably one of the better live adaptation Japan has ever made, and that says a lot. You could see how heavily budgeted this movie was just by seeing the CG of the Titans or the scenery. The actors/actress were really good! Especially Hans (aka Hanji) she, the actress, was almost the perfect Hanji for me.
