I think the marines will take Doffy to Impel Down and Law will feel his need of vengeance satisfied with that, knowing Doffy, at least, will be in jail, and that his secret identity as Joker and his crimes are being revealed.
I think this ark is finished and Doffy won't reappear soon.
And I think Doffy would never, not in a thousand years, regret the atrocities he did, nor apologise, to anyone. Honestly, I used to have a different image of him, I thought he would be more playful and crazy than cruel and heartless... But in this arc, Oda has shown Doffy is a psychopath and a sadist, obsessed with power, and the idea of controling, manipulating and destroying people. He had loving, kind and tolerant parents, with a vision of love, respect, peace and equality for all humans, a vision beyond their time. Doffy also lived some traumatic events in childhood, but, at the end, he really thought he was superior, and was full of arrogance, hate and cruelty.
maybe but where do you think Law is now ?
I picture Doffy making an appearance much later near the end of the series trying to get revenge on Luffy only to have Luffy knock him out with conqueror's haki. Securing the victory once and for all.
I think Law will go to find his nakama, I think they are waiting for him in an island.

what i think is gonna happen in the next chapter of a few more is Law is going to try and kill Doffy on his way there zoro or one of the other members of the crew will tell Luffy Law is missing Manshery will give him the blood Luffy and unfortunately i think Doffys gunna team up with Luffy and Law cuz Luffy almost died fighting Doffy and as i looked back on all of the villans that luffy fought it did not show much there flash back i think that they will try and redeem all of the things Doffy has done and he will die protecting law and say he is sorry . not really sure what do you guys think? :)
