I was kind of wondering something similar. How many people know that Asami is actually in a relationship with Akihito. Like Soudo and Sakazaki knew. Does everyone in the underworld (dark shady business) know about Akihito?
Asami shady business associates in Japan area might know, but far fetch. I think Suhon, Kirishima, Yoh and anyone work in his clubs, maybe his hotel as well. Outside Japan, fei long and his people and Mikhail and his people knows about it.
I think so many people watch Asami the gossip gets around.
Mmh, it's not like Asami is exactly shouting it from the roof tops either, lol, so I guess both of them are not quite there yet in terms of "letting the world now". ;) You know, at one point I would really like to see Asami attend a social function and bring Akihito as his official "plus one". That would be nice. That's one thing I like about "Haru wo Daite Ita", it's very "socially aware" (things like holding hands, kissing in public, gay marriage etc. in Japan). Then again, I guess Finder is just not that kind of story, really.
I can't see asami or aki doing that. However, asami did show affection toward aki in public, but, not as you wish to see them.
Oh, don't get me wrong. The reference to "Haru wo..." was not in terms of showing affection in public, but the contrary. What Haru shows is that whenever Katou wants to show affection in public, Iwaki is shying away from it and says: "No! People will see..." That's what I meant by "socially aware". The fact that the problem of being gay in Japanese society and the problems with finding acceptance as a gay couple is always very much in the forefront in that story. But as I said, Finder is not that kind of story.
Regarding the Asami plus one scenario: I don't expect to see it just as I don't expect them to ever say ILU, getting married or whatever. I also didn't mean it in terms of them showing their affection in public, more about being SEEN in public. I just like the idea of Asami casually bringing Akihito along, with his usual, cool, badass, elegant, nonchalant "Yes...? Anyone got a problem with that? Your problem, not mine." kind of attitude.
This won't happen, but it is still nice to picture it. That's what I meant.
Asami side of the world known of his relationship with akihito and has no shame of it whatsoever. Do you feel like aki eventually will be able to get over his self conscious and proudly confess to those close him of his relationship or will decide to keep a secret?
