It has happy ending but I m still unsatisfied... Jing deserve some more suffering. Lu Cang should go for coma at least 3 months to make Jing panic or so ==". Or Go somewhere where Jing can never found him at least for a year or two. But I think ancient medication can not tolerate coma. Because they don't IV to supply food & medicine to unconscious person yet
Yeah if the author wrote about jing having a hard time finding Lu Cang it could spice things up, and I really really want to see Jing suffered.
That was what it was all about? I love the art here, but if HHYL is going to end up like that, I think I am going to stop reading it. I was planning on reading the novel. But now that I know what was behind Jing's action, I don't I would be reading it now. Not to mention how Lu Cang being in love with that jerk Jing even after all that. The way I see it after reading all the comments, I think the story will only leave a terrible aftertaste if I were to continue. I don't even think the beautiful art can make up for horrible characters.
Nope you should read it. It's very good. I even reread it again. If it come license I will buy it myself :) the story is unique. Ok the phase of the story will be like this :
Full of hot sex scenes - unfold another mystery - semi sad - sad - super sad - get better - better - little conflict - better - ending.
After 'super sad' & 'little conflict' it always get better.
I personally recommend it.

Ok chapter 8-11 maybe the worst chapter ever. And if you religiously follow the story you may cry in these chapter. But later, Jing will come to love Lu Cang. I like HHYL because it's unique story. It's not about the seme who wants to monopolies uke and things like usual yaoi do. But seme will come to love his uke LATER, or at least, he REALIZES it later. I don't like how powerful and arrogant Jing is but he will change even little, actually he only change for Lu Cang not for other. What we debate here is, after Jing did cruel thing Lu Cang always forgive him. We want him suffer more before he get happy. For the uke, Lu Cang always put resistant to Jing when he cruel, so it's not like 'it's ok because I love you' and Lu Cang even ran away twice but Jing will find him. At the end it actually Jing will love Lu Cang very very much, he will dote to him but he can't drop his 'Emperor attitude bullshit & his duty' that's why we pissed off hahahha.
Ah and Lu Cang actually loves Jing at first sight but Jing saw Lu Cang as sex toy or at least his concubine that's why it sad at first
While that is very interesting. I don't think I can stand Jing very much. For some reason I am okay right now in the manga, maybe it is because we are still in the beginning of the story. From the manga, it is a very interesting plot. Lu Cang looked very strong and I had like that he does not fall in love that easily (at least in the manga). From all the comments, I will know that Jing does not suffer much in the end and that part makes me unsatisfied. Why is Lu Cang the only one suffering? Jing get to continue living his life while Lu Cang have to wait for him? I don't like that, I do not like that one bit. Kind of breaks my heart to think about it and leave a weird aftertaste in my mind.
One thing I am curious about (while I do not to want to read it personally, but still want to find out about is, what is this thing about uncle/father-in-law, people have been mentioning in the comments? Maybe if I find out about that situation and determining on how bad I feel about it, I might just read the novel and continue the manga while just skipping that part. These types of things always makes me think too much that I can't fall asleep at night. Yet I somehow continue to read it every single time! (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

Yeah it is dark age of the story. I don't like his attitude but Jing is the best sadistic seme portrayal hahahahah. Don't get me wrong I also want Jing to suffer he deserves it
