I'm usually a fan of this author but I don't like this one. Shiratori was a cheating sleaze bag. And I don't like that the uke just took it. Why would sleeping on the couch be any better. Leave, just leave regardless of whether Shiratori whined and wanted you to stay. And the hell nerve does Shiratori have to keep saying to believe in him?? Based on what??? Im not keen on shitty characters getting a happy ending. Yes, he was hurt over the whole Chun thing but that was his own fault and that does not mean its ok to treat the uke like crap. The uke clearly said, "don't cheat on me", so there's no confusion there. And saying you're the one I love, means jack shit, cheating is still cheating sex friend or not.
