Yes I prefer kuba. If the story need couple Kuba has better personality. It's been 9 volume and we don't see any changes of Kanou personality or how he treat Ayase

No matter how long they are together Kanou continues to treat Ayase more like a possession that a human being. It's incredibly disturbing. Even his acts of kindness end up having some ulterior motive designed to force Ayase to stay with him. Whenever Kuba speaks to Ayase he seems genuinely concerned about him and committed to respecting him, which puts him way ahead of a man who sexually assaults him in front of other people like it's nothing.
