Although it's true that he's got no talent and he's not as strong as Mikasa but isn't that a given? Mikasa awakened a part of her brain that day when she was saved by Eren so she's superhuman (you know like those telekinesis people thingy, I read something about the same condition) while Eren... He's this character who was normal right from the start with determination as big as Mt.Everest and the strong will to eradicate the Titans not just for revenge but also for his/their dream of seeing the outside world. Didn't he graduate Top 5 in his whole class? And like how many people are there? That's got to account for something right?

And his Titan being weak or unreliable. Again, isn't that a given? He didn't gain it like Ymir through the natural way. It was injected into him, right?(Or was that another plot twist and Eren is actually a titan? I'm going to stick with the idea that it was because of his father in the meantime) I'd also like to think that Reiner and Bert are naturals because it wasn't mentioned otherwise.

Also he's doing a damn great job with the emotional, mental and physical strain they're putting him through. If it were me, I'd be rampaging like a fucking maniac saying "Fuck you, I don't care if you don't trust me I'd fucking bash your filthy face on the floor damned pigs!" Really not a great way of gaining trust and staying alive. I'm worst than him. And to bite his hands until they're bleeding? Gosh, I can't even bite my hand even if to leave some marks. And those violence they put him through? Ugh, the pain must be unbelievable even if it's true that he regenerates after some time, he's not immune to pain (did you watch the anime? Episode 24, need i say more?) That's why I see Eren as someone strong. Foolish and Reckless do go hand in hand and most times we call them brave. But we can see some of his intelligence shining through in some cases...

But even I've got to say that Mr. Isayama must give Eren some kind of control over his titan/power sooner or later because really... Although I kinda understand, what with events happening left and right and chas and pandemic inside and outside the walls, there's really no time left for training or practice for Eren. But *sighs* when will he stop being abducted?

I second your opinion very much! It's definitely my personal view on Eren's character. And I like him after all. I do not really get why people dislike him that much. Yes, he can be annoying sometimes. He's just one of those impulsive, sometimes agressive 'kids' but besides that, what else is wrong to that extent that some SnK fans hates him? He's really strong, as you've just said. He has a lot of courage and determination and because of that he can motivate people to fight. Recently we also have realised that he can manipulate the Titans. He'll surely be useful. I don't understad what's wrong with him as a main character, well, despite the anger issue and abduction issue XD

I think Eren's power to manipulate the Titans is the very same power that enabled the people or a person a long time ago to create the walls. That person manipulated the collosal titans into standing into a gigantic cricle and thus managed to create the walls. Because there's no way that those titans just happened to stand there perfectly and create a wall, right? That's why they are after him. But i'm still not sure about this coordinates thingy.

Also perhaps his father had managed to extract the power of the same titan and then injected it into his body. Is that even possible? Because Ymir gained her power when she ate one of Reiner and Bert's friend, right? But we're still not sure if really eating a human who can shift into a titan could really gain control of their power (like Ymir) or if it's just by chance so their still taking great care in regards to Eren. Also in chapter 60, I think Christa/Historia is just going along the flow. I don't think that she would side with them. That or she's got her own agenda.

i like your train of thought. i believe Ymir was a titan for 60 years til she ate riener and bretlot's friendand was able to become human and shift into a titan like riener and the rest of the titan shifters
