I wonder how this all is going to play out. By regaining her memory, she has returned back to her old self - a self that only cares about her brother (or maybe herself?) It's really interesting to me - how much experience becomes a part of a person, shaping that person from the outermost superficial layers of their beings to the innermost core of their personality. If without her memory, she is a nice girl who cares about people around her and not just drowning in her own pity party. Does it mean that somewhere within her that nice girl still exists? I wonder how the author is going to progress her story in the next chapters.
She seems numb and uncaring right now. People are like that after the world has hurt them to an extent they cannot handle or process anymore. Her dad slapped her as a kid for her genuine feeling. Her brother was dishonest to her for their entire life together (with the fake smile that she hated so much). I do think she has an unhealthy way of coping with these painful parts of her life. I also am vehemently against putting your anger and issues on children (specifically Maho). I am just also sad for her. Her feeling, no matter how immoral they are to the world, has been invalidated by her family since she was a child.

Maybe the brother did it because of a romantic love for his sister that he has been suppressing for a long time ago. Maybe he did that out of grief (people react to pain in different ways, some cut themselves, some binge eat, some has sex with anyone they come across, provoking others into fighting them, etc.) All of these examples are destructive and addictive behaviors.

I can't explain why the brother did what he did because I can't read the author's mind. But I know there is an explanation the author has in mind to allow us to understand that everyone is human and makes mistakes, especially in time of grievance.

Like the daughter of the abusive father who ended up hitting her mother out of guilt (for the fact that she asked someone to kill her dad so that her mom wouldn't stop being in pain but it seems to have hurt her mother more); Or the fact that her mother still cried for a man who hurt her family. People are confusing. Even they don't understand their own actions sometimes.

I know I sound very self-righteous right now. There's a lot of things my twenty-year-old self doesn't get about life. But I just need to get this off because people who are commenting this is incest is not trying to understand this person who is in pain, only labeling him right away as someone disgusting and immoral. Also, trying to understand doesn't mean you agree with his action. For me, it means that you do not allow one action to determine your judgment of this person's character.

I'm just wondering what everybody thinks about the news of Japanese polices arresting and jailing illegal manga translators? I have just found out about it through this article https://qz.com/1199876/japan-is-hunting-down-illegal-manga-and-video-game-translators/amp/
I was legit shocked because I didn't think it was that big of a deal to illegally translate manga. If the manga is available in English then that is a bigger deal. But if not then how else can people from places outside of Japan read these awesome stories. Some of these stories can help and cheer people up in this really high stress world imo.
But I do understand that it is wrong to illegally translate and upload free version of these manga that can lead to the mangaka and their editors not getting the money they deserve for their works. Idk. I'm just so used to and attached to reading manga online that maybe is blinding me on some important points.
I would love to hear insights or different perspectives relating this.

I've spent thousands on Lezhin to buy Korean and thousands on E-bay to purchase Japanese manga in english. If those Japanese mangaka's want my monmon then they better start translating their jizz in english and selling them to peeps who appreciate their work like us and who are willing to pay for it!

^Eugh true. The only reason why translators do that is bc there's no official translation. Once the manga gets licensed, most scan teams drop the manga, leaving it with whatever chapter last updated. Yes it's wrong bc host sites like this ends up making money, but that's why a lot of scan teams prefer to follow them in their wordpress/tumblr acct.

Does anyone know when will the extra chapters of At The End will be released on Lehzin? I heard it would be on the December but I have been checking and they haven't released any extra yet.
