I have this feeling that his father did not want to continue the relationship with her and now she is going to take it out on Shirotani. I think the reason she tormented him before was because she was jealous of how much attention his father was giving him.

This manga left me with a whirlwind of emotions. I have just one question. Why wasn't the guy who stabbed Haruki, put in jail the 1st time? They just let him run around free to attempt to kill him 2 more times?

Yeah.. But Haruki said he cancelled all charges so that must have been the reason. Not a smart move though, in my opinion.
