wow, i am amazed that you've been reading manga, even before you turned 8! :O i wasn't even introduced to the internet, until i was probably 10 or 12 >.< and it was then, that i started to lose my innocence xD hahah
My big brother actually had BL mangas in his (locked) wardrobe, and he actually borrowed me one of his older BL mangas when I asked what yaoi is... The manga was in japanese (which I couldn't understand back then) but I fell in love with BL at that instant! I must say, that he's the best brother I could ever wish for (even though he can be a pain in the ass) :)
wow, i was so immature at around 8 xD i don't really remember my childhood, but i was probably only interested in plushies and hello kitty at 8. i wouldn't have known what manga was and such, i probably wouldn't have been able to even comprehend, or process yaoi x3 hahaha

I may be cynical, or overly suspicious, but the single dad has the look and behaviour of one of the sickos from the twisted child-molestation stories. Like how he keeps saying how much Mischi resembles his wife and all... I might have read too much Harada tho ╮(￣▽￣)╭
It's just because the dad is kinda weak-willed (not a lot, just a bit) and if your partner dies, you can't help but want to see them in the culmination of your love--your child.
I understand that, but still get creepy vibes from him cuz it all reminds me of Harada's predator stories ╮(￣▽￣)╭
