I remember it starts with two older men fishing at a lake, and then they start talking about how they met and it turns out that one of the kidnapped the other, and the guy ended up falling in love with his captor. Thats all I really remember, think i read it 4-5 years ago lol

The kidnapped guy was successful at work and the guy who kidnapped him was not.
If I remember correctly, the kidnapper was kidnapped as a child. The now kidnapped guy was supposed to have been kidnapped back then, but then he kind of used the kidnapper (still kid) as an escape goat and was able to run.
The now kidnapper was kidnapped and kept until his adolescence or something, that it was when the real kidnapper died. He was found, but never really able to go back to his normal life.
I believe the now kidnapped guy stayed more like..."he suffered because of me?"
