Well, for one, trad doesn't matter lol, but what makes them racist? could you be specific for more accurate advice? I would recommend not directly confronting them, as that can set them in their ways even more, but if they need to have a more open mind, simply help them meet different types of people. It takes a while, but it is the best option. Take the Daryl Davis approach :)

Their old traditional. And their supper overprotective. They refuse to be open to new ideas and handle issues overbard to the point where it seems Karen like.
That is a very bad idea. That will only make it worse for them. They need support, the need gentle pushes away from their ideologies, cutting them off will only make them close off more.
They told me just right now that I could never get into a relationship with an African American or to go into a relationship with a girl when I'm also a girl.
Can we have an example? Like are they traditional in the fact that they want to marry a woman who will stay home and take care of the house, or are they traditional in the way that they think race mixing is the bane of humanity? Is their being super overprotective come out of a place of love or control? Are they passionate in their beliefs or are they in denial?

Ok then the i'd say go with the Daryl Davis approach i mentioned earlier. Depending on how old they are they may grow out of it because young adults commonly end up commies or nazis and then go back to being centrists so there may yet be hope.
They are very traditional in both belief and marriage. They hate when our race is part of the lgbqt or intermingles with those of darker skin and even calls the lgbqt community weirdos when they obviously are not weirdos. And overprotective wise it's more based on control then it is love.
They aren't open at all... even when I try to explain or even compromise it's usually ignored, or laughed at. They are in their 30s close to 40s and they still have very closed off beliefs.
That's also a part too. I never was able to get a real job because my parents felt like I couldn't handle it. Also now I have to rely on my family for basic needs I just got a job last year and I don't even earn enough to move out. I'm also a senior in high school and I'm tied behind my back because I also don't have the guts support to move out.
