The mangas just so wholesome and sweet and just a guy living his chill life. The anime really didnt do the whole vibe justice. It's pace was so weird and it had a weird fixation on the beast girls and the little girl instead of ryomas wholesome team work with the slimes. They also made him this weird like overpowered protag? Like hes overpowered in the manga but atleast he's not as upfront about it. Not like the anime where he for some reason solos the goblin king/leader out of nowhere when in the manga he didn't even see the goblin villages? And they took out the beast kids! And all of his character building to add in all those weird sexy beast girl clips I'm just so disappointed....
Yeah I dropped it too after 2 episodes because the vibe was different, it focussed a bit more on different things .
But as this is one of my comfort manga (along with as miss beelzebub likes and horimiya, one is ending the other gets an anime, thus mixed feelings) hearing your description I am VERY glad I dropped it.
I think I would have cried I mean, the whole story revolves around Ryouma finally living the happy slow paced life he deserves with lots of friends and family and connections which were possible because he got the protection and help from the gods.
BUT THEY TOOK THE KIDS OUT???? ISNT THAT LIKE 70% OF THE PLOT BUILDING IN THE CAVE CLEANING ARC

Yes I totally agree with you. I don't know why but in every episod of anime is little lady (I don't remember her name). She is in moments that in manga is Ryoma alone with his slime's. And that makes my feeling annoying whenever I see her now.

Same here, it's my comfort manga. I've lost count of how many times I've come back to re-read, and I'm currently reading the novel as well. The anime is fluffy and warm for sure, but I'm still mad they left out Ryouma's backstory and anything which gave the characters more depth.
At the same time, they left out characters and the way Ryouma's connecting with them. Every single character is letting Ryouma grow, fairly disappointed it could have been so good.
I'm not even going to open this.....like WHAT is going on with her titts in that cover art??? Like they don't work like that??? Mangakas never seen a pair of breast in real life and it shows
