There's a lot of hate for her in the comments, but I liked Marie's character. A very hateful person, but her character was realistic for a twisted highschool girl and i found myself pitying her. Her growth was subtle, but it was there.

I prefer the official versions because they have the highest consistancy (groups will pick up and drop without reading previous chapters) and often the offical translators can directly confirm with the author what the intent was.
That being said, scanalations take a LOT of work. Even poorly translated ones take hours to do. (These were not poorly translated). A scan group is usually also run on donations and benefits from the publicity of having their scans up, so putting the official over it can feel like a double slap in the face. This feels like a bizarre game of "spot the difference".
