Okay, so I realize that this is just a little yaoi manga, but isn’t this super revisionist? Japan lost the war after bombing/invading the shit out Pearl Harbor, invading China and killing millions, and killing countless other people from the allied countries. Now granted they got nuclear bombed, which I don’t think anyone can defend, but Japan is still way more of a complicated figure in the war than this manga is making them out to be. Is this too much analysis for a gay romance manga? I’ll stop now.

I blame the government, not the citizens.
Though they really did some fucked up shit in Guam. You're probably right, they made me feel really sorry for the Japanese people.

Was there supposed to be a time skip there? I’m so confused. Though I really like how it ended. I feel like in other manga where the whole “getting transferred” thing is used as a plot line, the couple usually just do long distance and stick it out, instead of actually sacrificing things to be together. This one wasn’t super dramatic, but one guy still decided it was worth it to uproot his life and move and it shows how much he cares. Very nice ending!

That's because Kotarou wasn't necessarily tied to the place he lived. Most of the time that's not the case for a lot of couple. So he choose to be with Wataru.
There' probably a couple of months in between for them to settle things since his hair appeared to be longer, before they actually moved in together.
