I think this is such a great manhwa, that got ppl tilted at parenthood, and how to go about raising a child! The comments are pretty harsh, but if anyone can relate; I’ve got multiple siblings and multiple nieces and nephews.

I didn’t even give birth to a child, yet it seemed that I had many symptoms of postpartum due to the situation growing up.

As a community/family orientated culture, everyone lived close to each other. But also living in situations in low-income and poverty neighborhoods and community. I was changing baby diapers since I got tall enough to see the eggs I’m cooking on the stove. I’ve learned cooked dinner for my family by the time I went into middle school. Im also not saying that I did all that obediently, I was my mother’s replacement when she went to work, cook, clean, take care of children. And I would get frustrated on Multiple occasions, and I’m not going to lie, the relationships I had then with the ppl I took care of weren’t the best. How would anyone, much less a 10 year old balance the well-being of their 9 siblings, themselves and school, with no mental, social, or financial support be expected to come out not having any issues?

My point is; it’s hard raising a child, (regardless if you personally birthed one, or that you are expected to be raise them—even though you are one yourself) especially if you’re not ready for the responsibility that comes with it. I hated my family for a part of my life because of all the opportunities that were missed due to the lack of financial, social, emotional, psychological support of not only those individuals around you, but the community as well.

And by no means am I saying that BOTH of their neglect is okay, but it’s something that happens in real life too.

I think she’s really doing things for herself this time around. I think I can really relate to her, if I can go back in time and change what I had done with the knowledge I know now. I’d make lots of changes!
