given how overly dramatic and angsty people say volumes 2 and 3 become, I'm going to stop reading after volume 1 because I think there's at least a happy ending from what little Japanese I know...idk ┗( T﹏T )┛

yea, I looked at the raws and it's over the top surprising where this seemingly sweet story goes.
There is a volume 4. It is already released in paper version but not yet in ebook. Wait to see how it unfolds before giving up. Volume 2 is fine. It is in volume 3 where there is a disturbing situation

for everyone who's confused by the age difference not adding up, I read the raws and what seijiro (older dude) said was that ryou (high schooler) has a likeable way of doing things/demeanor that doesn't make him (sei) feel the difference of being a zodiac cycle (一回り hitomawari) apart in age and ryo got really close to him because of it. so sei didn't actually say that they're exactly twelve years apart in age, but kind of like there's at least 12 years between us
