I see a few people saying Shou covered for Shikatani and he sort of did, but at the same time he made it very clear to Shika that it wasn't ok for him to be gay. To me, covering for Shika was more about denying his friend's sexuality than actually keeping him out of trouble. Shou looks at Shika desperately to deny any possibility that he has romantic feelings for him. He might've looked like that because he was assaulted, but if it affected him that much, then why would he want to stay in contact and be friends with him? Shika definitely shouldn't have assaulted Shou, but it wasn't right for Shou to deny his friend's sexuality either.
