2. Lucaon / Royal Servant. He has supernatural power and we can manipulate that strength to help us survive on the stranded island.
3. Naoya / Hidoku Shinaide. He has medical knowledge and smart. His brain can help us to make strategy and survive before the rescue comes.

The author absolutely abuses that trope. And she makes sure the ex comes back right when things are starting to go well.
