I am really getting frustrated, angry and annoyed with maxi. I get she has a stutter and is timid but why can't she just effin talk normal with riftan?!
He made it more than obvious how much she means to him and she can see how worried he is of maybe not offering her enough. And instead of SAYING JUST ONCE she didn't have luxury before, she is lying by letting him believe it

I mean I think she has tried once but he pushed it off as her trynna make him feel better (this was in the very beginning). They both gotta work on their communication & work on their insecurities. Riftan always feels likes he’s not enough for her b/c he thinks she lived like a princess in the capital. And Maxi feels like he was “sold” bad goods, not a intelligent beautiful proper lady
I have nothing against a sad ending but I want to know what happened :(
Did he kill himself? Does the mother regret her stupidity? Did he leave and is there a second story/season or spin off book idk?
