He sounds ace.. He reminds me a lot of myself when i was still figuring myself out. But now im worried this is one of those stories where sex will fix it. It hurts because hes so in love with him but feels like he hates himself brcause he doesnt care for sex. I hope he can find happiness..
I thought the same thing! And I was really looking forward to possibly seeing ace representation in a BL manga, but it does seem like it might end up turning into one of those plots where they "just haven't met the right person yet."
it would be nice to have some proper ace rep. but considering how the story's moving along....
hopefully down the line we'll find some manga where "just haven't the right person yet" won't be the immediate excuse and hopefully Eric will have a happy ending

Absolutely, but my issue was with the trope of "the right partner" being used to invalidate or dismiss ace characters -- as if sex under the right circumstances will "fix" them. Definitely didn't mean to exclude demis from the spectrum as I am one.
ugh yes. really hoping this doesn't stray down that path since i'm so tired of that trope (and the chapters thus far have such great potential!!), but i won't hold my breath.
