tbh i think yuka and kaoru are fated pairs, they react to each other really strongly where as taiga only reacted to yuka when kaoru was around him, probably because he smelled yukas pheromones from reacting to kaoru. i think its just that they dont know that they are fated pairs which is why they think that their fated partner is someone else.
