Like, I get what's going on and what's happening, but the ending with the explanation and the back and forth was just confusing because it's hard to follow since they kind of tried to do it in a roundabout way. Like, there's about 3 Jius, right? And in the end, was that the original Jiu, with another female Tokiwa? I'll stew on that overnight

It's just that in the world where original tokiwa and and long haird jiu is meant only to be buddies. However in this manga, two same person can exist at a time and world like that female terrorist they were hunting for is the female version of tokiwa in the world of the short haired jiu, her lover is jiu of another different world(that doctor at the end who embraced the girl which is i think lived in a more distant future because he could space travel and met the woman who just developed her own space travelling machine) soo really it's just soo happened that these people met their destiny in a different world, but they are still jiu and tokiwa female or male they're just parallel versions.

World one: male tokiwo and that long haired jiu are friends
World two: soldier jiu and terorrist woman (also tokiwo)are mother and child
World three: the advanced world where this (idk) scientist jiu? came from :
World four: the tokiwo lady who gave birth to long haired jiu's child.
Now, soldier jiu transported to our male tokiwo, long haired jiu got transported to another world where he met another tokiwo whim he had child with. The terrorist woman tokiwo wanted to meet the jiu who travelled into her world that met her when she was 12 years old but this jiu needs to go back to his own world (really this stupid lovers started it all haha). They eventually have to return to their own world because y'know the transfer are sometimes not complete( missing limbs and body parts) but that magnetic ball thing keeps them tied together and can make an assurance of "being able to transport to that same world" (because there are a lot thats why that scientist jiu is giving them to every tokiwo he meets)
