I feel like in the past year or so we have seen a lot of people complaining about tags. Specially the tag of "rape" seems to be the triggering tag. I know we all understand that rape is bad. And that it doesn't take much brainpower to know that most of the "rape theme" usage in manga is used as: a plot device to lead to an idealized outcome or way to set up other darker themes.
However, I fail to understand why people: complain about the things they don't like when they read something with the thing they don't like? Hates rape, finds a manga with a rape tag, and read it, and then complains about how it had rape in it? I'm pretty sure we've all seen the animal abuse videos around the internet, it usually has warning tags, and naturally if you hate animal abuse you would click on the video?????
Most complaints come in the form:
1. The "how can you guys romanticize rape? It's disgusting, why do you guys read this? You guys are normalizing rape!! The mangaka who use rape as plot are disgusting or have no imagination!"
and so forth, usually followed by some other series of rants.
My own reaction personal reaction to this is like: I know it has rape, I chose to read it, no I'm not a rapist supporter, I have the cognitive capacity to separate this piece fiction from IRL and idealized forms of fiction, probably no on here will ever think rape is ok IRL from reading a fucken manga, nor anyone here probably will act on the earlier motion in real life.
In conclusion I feel like when people complain it makes them look like idiots, in a sense that they aren't contributing anything we didn't already know nor a analysis on how manga could be written better without rape and shit on mangaka for their work. And then they proceed to preach to people like they are idiots for reading controversial tags.
Anyways long rant/observation. Have people seen these around and what are your usual responses?
Any manga that had raped and you liked how it developed? How you didn't like how it developed? Avoid manga with rape tag completely? Any tags you avoid? Discuss-->

completely agree. there one story where the first sentence of the story was literally something like "im being raped" at that point if you dont like rape, you should already just click off, but nope. they keep on reading it and then proceed to explain the whole story and why they hated it because there was rape and blah blah blah. the same old white knight sjw -esqe bullshit.

Wow ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ ..I really like your opinion. So mature. Yes we are readers, we decide want to read or not, if you don't like the story then don't read it.
