i’m here bcs i was looking for sum manga that has a kindaaa similar plot with fushigi yûgi (my all time fav, oh and pls do recommend me some). anyways , i’ve seen comments saying that yuri and miaka r quite similar & i kind of agree lol.. they’re both stupid, reckless, annoying, often cause problems/troubles to the ppl around them but i still love 'em tho, specially my miaka :3 !

Everyone has character development except for YURI!
She started immature and ended up immature girl with 4 kids. (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

I’m never trusting the reviews again.

People said it was a masterpiece and yeah the art is something, but the FL is something else… IN A BAD WAY.

First off she’s so clueless, like miss girl STAY WITH HIM. The Queen got her when she was alone and suddenly she decides, yes I better do this alone. I can’t help but blame her for Tito’s death like I genuinely loved him and afterwards I tried not blaming her but she literally just couldn’t be patient and had to lead people to suffer. I just can’t :/

Generally great story and characters..... except from the FL.....she just keeps creating problems without solving them!!! And I mean she keeps saying she wants to go back to her family but at the end she ends up postponing it and hurts the ML!! I honestly dont like her.

I don’t know how people think Yuri got better as a character because she doesn’t actually change. She’s constantly kidnapped and creates problems for those around her. Like you could argue it’s not her fault she’s kidnapped but like she does nothing to prevent it. Now if it happened once I’d understand but no it happens multiple times and she never learned her lesson. She’s really good with a sword and could take on anybody who tried to kidnap her if she had a sword but for some reason she decided not to carry one with her after the first kidnapping. On top of that she was always sneaking off and saying she knew how to handle herself so no one should worry when suddenly she’s been kidnapped! Again. Like how clueless can she be?? And then after all that she’s given an army to lead?? Idk about you but I certainly wouldn’t trust someone who’s incapable of taking care of themselves to lead an army. All she did was cause trouble and yet somehow by the end of the story she’s treated as a goddess and somehow saves the kingdom.

I don't know how I managed to stay till the end but I finally did lol..I thought it would be a good read seeing the reviews but it let me down

Part of the reason I didn't like it was the flow of the story ..It just seemed too rushed at times ..and a mess ..I love reading old masterpieces but this was not it at all

im most frustrated when they treat the queen with delicate hands. she can play dumb even if there is evidence, but when it's not her, the get dragged away. like? the matriarch power here is as frustrating as the common tyranny of patriarchy (goes to show that tyranny is a matter of greed and not sex—but since patriarchy has ruled most of the nations and caused the reclusion of women, misogyny exists. that's why equality like Yuri and Kail is what we need, that sense of co-dependence).

and im just thinking how ideologies are only possible with power because just as Kail said, the nation must be powerful enough to stand on its own and be able to defend itself from external attack (sovereignty at work). and it's the same with Yuri... she had to slowly change herself in order to protect the people around her. she sacrificed her chances to go home, her innocence (coz she went to war), and ultimately her life (devotion to kail and her people).

Yuri is truly a strong female lead. romantic and emotionally empathetic while also rational and assertive, a perfect blend of feminine and masculine traits. she is both independent and dependent, someone who is not bound by female stereotypes, which i think is one of the reasons why she even survived being taken to a different time and place... and why she was summoned. she's a modern teenage girl who was reckless and it's nice to see the author build her up to attain a natural maturity demanded by her environment.

she's like, the best example of why men and women would love someone... and why there are alot of 'obstacles'. she's not the typical protagonist who is loved just because she's the protagonist.

Someone spoil me please!! Tell me when i finish this will i cry? Like i'm asking if ill be depresed for a month again when i finish reading this. I can't, i'm getting too emotional reading some stories and i can't handle it well sometimes. So tell me

There is happy ending. But you will cry. A lot of people die in this, and characters that you get to be really attached to, including one of the main cast (I won't spoil you who). But power through, my friend, it's the most amazing story ever.

Spoil.

If you're too emotional you will cry at some moments (some characters die) but in the end, you will cry because the end is good.
