can someone explain the TWs? I noticed alot of comments mention r@p3 and some other potential tw. spoilers are welcome! i just wanna kno what to look out for (i don't read anything w r@pe or age weird things or racism or gross ecchi or any other creepy stuff). thanks xx
The heroine is in some risky situation and gets kissed without consent multiple times (I think three times). At least one other women is r*ped, and two times women are shown half naked on the public places. One of the characters has a backstory of abuse. Another has a backstory of incest, but it isn't shown, and it's in the side stories, so it isn't plot revelant and can be skipped. However, r*pe, while present, makes "sense" in the plot (like war situation), so it isn't there just for no reason at all, and isn't shown as something without consequences or not highly tragic and problematic. So if you're scared of it being the basis of the plot, it isn't the case at all. The scenes are also spread at times when they makes sense in the plot obviously. I mean, basically, this a completely plot-driven shoujo. It's also one of my favourite manga ever, the characters are absolutly awesome and interesting and flawed, and I hope you'll give it a chance.

I'm asking because I saw the gender bender tag and I hate gender benders they just put a bad taste in my mouth I would rather avoid it cause of the dumb misunderstanding they cause especially if there's a love trope or something. Idk how this one goes so question to anyone who has read this, is the gender bender thing main part of the story? How much does it involve in the story? Gimme a brief intro to how the plot will go please (￣∇￣")
Lmfao one of the few key points of the story was her gender bend Σ(っ°Д °;)っ, in her like the summery stated in her dead twin brother’s stead she will lead people to overthrow the king and thus her journey goes. We look into how mc in fact a young girl has to handle the hardship those of her age and gender wouldn’t handle, how she overcomes choosing her people and lover etc mental stuff. It’s actually good the way each character were built and shown are (๑•ㅂ•)و✧I enjoyed it, it’s an old work so it might not be as the mangas you see today so if you can’t stand the cliche and some r*pe which barely gets touch on and so on stuff then maybe not. But stillllll give it a try (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

But well mc falls in love with the king she needed to kill, and he also falls in love in her female self not knowing her other identity where she disguises herself as her twin on the journey to kill him(〜￣△￣)〜 mc also didn’t know he was the king she needed to kill. ~ drammaaaaa

There's the tag "strong female lead", it really helps to find some good ones with girlboss~ I don't know if you read Basara in the end, but I really recommend it, it's a literal piece of art. And I feel like the genderbend is different from usual, since it isn't played for laughs, and it really adds to the story

The MC does not get raped. I've read this story multiple times. It's one of my favourite stories and is a good read. It's not a typical gender bend. It's more of a, Mulan type if genderbend where the girl has to hide her gender to fight against the oppressors. I love the dynamics between the MC and the red king and each character goes true a character building arc. You get to know each character and build a bond with them. So give it a try.

I do know about that tag. I have read many manhwa/manga through that some of them are 20/10 other start 10/10 but somehow loses their charm. So going in blindly it's always a hit it miss situation. I just prefer asking other readers before starting a new one.

This is the manga by far that tells us that revenge is not always sweet. Other manhwa/manhua stories often succeed on seeking revenge and stuff but this one, I'd say that not all revenge is often sweet and worth it. Sometimes life is unfair but it's also is unique on it own self.
I read this 6 years ago and it's still one of my all time favourites! The characters were so well written, I still think about them. Especially Ageho and Asagi. I hated Asagi when he was introduced... and slowly, that hate increased until one day I realised, I cared for him. His character development... his backstory... the way his relationship with Sarasa grew... I truly love his character and can say he's my favourite. The story was fantastic... I cried, laughed, felt despair... anger... hurt... I felt it all! It was a story about vengeance, survival, love, forgiveness and acceptance - ♡
This manga had such a good story and loved the major character development of several characters. It really reminded me of Red River which I also loved. There’s just enough romance to keep you going but not so much where it drowns out the main plot. The only thing I wish was different was more epilogue chapters about mc and ml being together (▰˘◡˘▰)
