Reactions on Rape
It has been an existing argument on how rape is perceived by the readers. Both sides (pro and anti) have incessantly and repetitively argued about this.
I enjoy reading comments as much as reading the stories. It's not like it's a new topic, yet I just thought it would be good to have this created where everyone can say their opinions. And thus, they could just refer to this one whenever a debate comes up in comments. This way, we can at least reduce the repetition of thoughts exchange (debates) in comments/topics section every time a new chapter with rape tags appears.
But then I found this great article on the issue, so.. let me share it.
I'm a simple person, if I like it, I like it. I mean, I enjoy seeing guys getting fucked and hurt because that's just my sexual fantasy but it's not like I condone it in real life nor would do that. But it all depends on the story, tho. If it's some an actual dark psychological shit, I mostly read it for the drama fuel and weird sexual fantasy. If ...... reply
I honestly don't have a problem with rape being in manga, because it is something that happens that we shouldn't pretend doesn't. What i personally have a problem with is when rape is used as a step towards love. I don't have a problem with rape in yaoi. Or in most fictional formats. (There is one exclusion. Which I won't mention, because it's my personal problem, and not relevant to the discussion.)
