Rape in yaoi: Yes or No? (And why)
Yes. It's kinda sick, I know and I've felt guilty about it over and over but hear me out. I've read about why women have rape fantasies and apparently it's more of being sexually open (not feeling guilty about having sexual desires or fantasies) and feeling sexually desirable (they drive men crazy; they just need to have her, even by force). And, fantasizing about something doesn't necessarily mean you want it to come true.
So, I think that romanticizing rape in yaoi is not wrong, per se, as long as we all agree that yaoi is an outlet for our erotic (or maybe just fluffy) fantasies that we, by no means, support to happen in real life. But I mean, that's just me.
((But fuck Hikaru from Korosu Hohou. Haruki-san don't deserve to be broken like that.))
HELL NO!!! NO! NO! NO!
Rape should never be romanticised, and this is yaoi's biggest failing. There's nothing sexually desirable about seeing someone get violated. It's sick and disturbing! The only time that rape should feature is where it adds to the depth of the story, like in Maiden Rose.

It makes me so worked up when i see yaoi readers say rape is fine but only in manga's. I rarely comment but i have to let out how i feel on this topic. I don't understand how you can sit here and say that shit is ok, and THEN say that it's just a little fetish or fantasy. Some fetishes are NOT OK. When i see rape in any kind of story i either skip ...... 6 reply
The rape-trope isn't my particular 'thing' in yaoi or any other sort of romance fiction, but I will defend to the death the right for mangaka to create art and stories about it, just like I will defend the right of Omegaverse fiction to exist (even though I personally hate it.) I disagree with all the counter-arguments to date, which are unproven a...... 5 reply
Honestly I don’t really mind rape if it’s properly tagged and everything, I just dislike being caught off guard with triggering things. I also think that rape in psychological horror stories works really well, but I don’t understand why so many authors randomly put rape on “fluffy” stories that could go perfectly well without it.
