why do people feel disgusted when two guy holding hand but not for the girls?
it doesnt make sense to me cause where do you know they are guy just because they hold hands together? why dont you suspicious two girls holding hands? where do you know they are just friends? i can not understand it at all.
Hmm I think if one of girl is tomboy of course make it suspicious but if man hold hands together don't know why but many stereotype negative about that from religious type of person or just homophobic people. reply
Like it was mentioned above It does have to do with the society. Men are put in a box in all cultures around the world. In most English-speaking cultures it's considered feminine and 'cute'. If people see two elementary school aged girls holding hands, they'll say, "Aww, they're so close! It's adorable!" On the other hand, if they see two boys of the same age the boys will likely be told, "You're too old for that. You need to learn to be more independent."

Like someone else said, it varies from culture to culture. In South Korea, men holding hands isn't seen as gay. At the same time, the gay community is often invisible. And gay guys won't take advantage of it because they are self conscious.

Because it's what society or our culture dictated about what "normal" should be for different genders. Like girls are supposed to be the "feeling" type so it's okay to show affection (just not too much affection) while guys need to uphold the "masculine" stereotype that they are cool and aloof. It's just what the lens that society has grown to see everything through.
