Do you prefer Japanese manga or Korean webtoons? I personally started got into BL because of Japanese manga but as I grow older, I'm starting to prefer Korean Webtoons The characters are usually more mature and the setting is more realistic, the Seme usually doesn't try to rape the uke, the characters feel like real people and it's often funny in a natural way. The series usually lasts for a longer time compared to manga which tends to be shorter.I enjoy the full color and a major reason is that I know Korean so I can enjoy webtoons in the original language without having to wait for translation.
Personally I prefer Korean webtoons because all of the ones that I have read have just been so good! Of course there are really good Japanese manga that I have read, and there have also been bad Korean webtoons, but just overall the Korean webtoons that I have read have been super good. 1 reply
Definitely Korean Webtoons! I like the comic layout a lot more, they're usually colored (which I appreciate), and the storylines are more varied and unique!

Definitely manga. They're just more put together, and typically have better art, stories, and characters. I also prefer black and white lineart to webtoons color because the artwork is more detailed and I love the look of screentone. reply
I prefer both I don't really care if it's colourized or not. I'm here for the Plot and the art style. But I've been reading too Much Manhwa lately but my Opinion still stands. I like both :) 2 reply
Korean webtoon feels exactly like what most people are looking for: a really dumb read
While some premises sounds genuinely interesting, the story will be done in the very same fashion almost every other BL you've already read. The characters are mostly walking archetypes acting like something out of those horrible teenage movies. The story will e...... 2 reply
I am apparently a bit of a traditionalist (for a certain value of the word) because I do tend toward Manga, although with me there's not a whole lot of preference because I truly am in it for the art ... first. Story, second. I've waded through miles of muck just because I was intrigued with a particular Mangaka's style, use of line value, surface/...... 1 reply
