I stared beening interested in piercings when i read a yaoi manga with a character that had a lot of them and I thought he was really cool. ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄ I think they are really pretty and kinda scary at the same time. Piercings have always been at the back of my head but i am too much of a scaredy cat to get one. I expecially like toungue and helix piercings. I'm a straight edge girl so just thinking about getting one is making me excited .ヾ(☆▽☆) If you guys can share your experience or give me some advice i would appreciate it very much. (▰˘◡˘▰)
It depends of the places pierced and the person in question. Some places hurt more, some less. Some people are more tolerant to pain so it hurts them less, some are not and they hurt more. It also depends on whether you have slept well the night before, have you had your regular meal during the day or have you had alcohol that day or the night before. So if you decide to do it, sleep well the night before, don't drink or take substances, have your breakfast (or lunch) and carry a sweet or an energy bar to consume it after the piercing (regardless of whether you had or not had your meal before). The adrenaline will do its role, so you might not feel that much pain. I even heard that some people enjoy the sensation. Nonetheless, it won't be pleasant for the next several days as it will swell. Absolutely listen to everything your piercer tells you you have to do, be specially cautious about your hygiene, hydrate yourself well (drink lots of water) and listen to your body. Evade movements you don't feel pleasant with. Tissue takes 21 days to heal, after that you may relax more. Don't do it before going on a trip and don't do it during a stressful period (exams, for instance). Good luck and enjoy :).
I got my first lip piercing when I was 13 years old and now at 19 years old I have 6 on, middle of upper lip, middle of lower lip, one ear, belly and both nipples. ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ I also had tongue piercing but it got badly infected so doctor took it off and I had nose ring but I got bored of it. How painful piercing is depends on the person because some people experiens pain because they have thick skin. But most painful piercing I have is nipple but it was over fast and worth it. I also want to have microdermal under my eye and get christina piercing ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄
i would not start with a tongue ring go with the helix xd they are fun but the healing process is kind of annoying. i currently have 5 on my face and 11 on my ears combined
I have 13 piercings. I have 4 in one ear (3 lobe, 1 helix) and 9 in the other (straight up the outside love to forward helix). I really like the vertical labret, but I also like biting into things. I like both lip rings and tongue percings, but they both cause dental damage, so I don't think it is worth it. My advice is to only get 2 at a time, preferably not on both sides, from a very experienced piercer. It will heal fast and be easier to sleep. Healing time for helix piercings can take from 6-12 months. Some people experience sensitivity after healing, but I've never had a problem with that. And also... have a plan for what they look like in the end. Planned piercings look much better than willy-nilly as you go ones.
Yes, I also think this is very important, specially because once tried, people easily get addicted to piercing. Think well how do you want to look like, consider that in the future you might stop liking them and might want to remove them (or you might have to due to your job) etc. One last piece of advice, and that one's provisional, think about why you want to do them. Don't do them just because it looks good or the others do it. If you decide to get a piercing, do it because it means something to you.
I have gotten my ears pierced twice. Both times the holes closed up again and my doctor told me not to try again. I suffer from keloid scarring. Actually anything pinching my ear flip will cause it to be swollen for 2 weeks.
omg same! my mum tried to jam my earrings into my ears when they were almost closed and they started bleeding lol so I had to get my ears pierced twice ┗( T﹏T )┛
I have 11 in total, more into getting tattoos and in my culture anything in the nose and lips are considered a little too far by some. Most are ears five in each and navel, so that is not really that painful unless you pierce the cartilage in your ear takes longer to heal and sleeping is harder. Mine are fine now.
The piercing itself don't hurt but after it will by little things like ur hair getting caught in ur piercing jewelry. I have became more interested in piercing bc of yaoi too I even have a list of yaoi of just piercing, in total I have 15 piercing ( 4 lobe piercing on each ear , two helix on each ear, and a snug and rook plus a belly piercing) I think the tongue be cute but read more into cause that important muscle, I also plan for a tongue piercing too(づ￣ ³￣)づ the pain is worth the piercing so u should get it done if u want it(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
For your first one, I'd get one that's not too visible. Because lot's of people these days judge on appearances alone, and can make it hard to find a job and such.
My first piercing I got was when I was in school. I got my nose pierced. And after that I just kinda collected them over time. So far overall I have had 13. Bellybutton, nipple, two in bottom lip, two madonna piercings, middle of my bottom lip, tongue, nose, septum, eyebrow and of course my ears. But because I ended up going to college and doing Animal Management, i had to keep taking some out and putting them back in because I was always around the animals. So now I just have my snakebites, tongue and bellybutton. I also got a tattoo and want to get more, so I will most probably start collecting them next ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
