I'm been reading yaoi manga ever since I was in high school and I still enjoy it even when I'm a working adult. I maybe a bit exaggerating but it's been a great part of my life. I basically read everyday and took pauses only if I'm busy or have an exam (when I was still a student). I want to read all the Yaoi in the world but my somehow my aesthetic sense wont let me. When i was younger, I would read anything that was available even if they suck. But now, I only read manga which are interesting to me. I usually check the reviews first from other people and then decide if i want to read them. I'm not picky, and i don't care if the art is mediocre as long as the plot is great. I'm quite tired of YAOI manga that centers only on Sex between two males without logic or has no proper development. I love YAOI but please dont label them as MANGA about porn between two males.. YAOI is much more than that.... I will continue to read them as long as I can because I love them.
I can totally relate to you in some terms... As a college graduate but with no work because of parenta wanting me to be in a med school next year.....
I can relate to you in terms of being picky with the readings of yaoi and yeah just pure sex sometimes get me but on a bad reason, i am horny but when i am in all moods except that....
I will read yaoi with much interesting plot like blue sky complex, escape journey and name them all... Maybe we tend to be picky cause we are aging and our mind is maturing and there is nothing wrong with it
