It's been years since i last read this manga... I remember back then I didn't like Haruna at the beginning and wondered why Yoh even chose her out of nowhere. But boy was I stupid. She's easily one of my favorite shoujo heroines... Her positivity and enthusiasm makes me smile like an idiot. And there were signs showing that he was falling for her, so I wanna kick my ignorant younger self. I like that Yoh's not a bland quiet cool guy type. Moments like the arm wrestling thing in one of the earlier chapts was unexpected cos surprised me cos I'd read so many dull tsun-tsun male leads, and his responses to Haruna are pretty funny. There's not a single character I dislike, not even Assa (though she felt iffy at first -.- I'm still in the middle of rereading this but I can say that I really missed this cute fluffy type of shoujo that doesn't feel too "try-hard"
