Right? Like, I understand that it's a second gender thing and man or woman can manifest thembut... it's all about (male) pregnancy at the end. Or if they want to spice things up both could me omegas or alphas, or him being the omega and her the alpha. Just do things a bit different.

i think the fl being the omega and the ml being alpha, allows for the sentiment that they can not contain the innate desire that they have for each other. I think it particularly helps with the fact that he has ed before they met and that her pheromones were so enticing that it cured it for him
I think it takes a bit of the element of innovation that the omega is a woman. He could have been the omega and her the alpha just with a twist in their personalities or something.
Still it's kind of a funny story.
