I thought at LEAST the story would end with Taishi making the king or highest power in the kingdom fall in love with the animals and eventually make a decree on what animals can be considered pets and protect endangered ones like the crystal hedgehog. Regardless, cute read, and this can EASILY become a 12-13 episode anime.
