Racist and a waste of time who's shocked

I think author is just reflecting the reality. Even if our current generation is not that racist anymore and skin color is just another color, most ppl with no education tend to see white or pale as beauty coz it looks clean in appearance and that's how it has been introduced by society since a long time ago. Authors used thinga from reality for readers to understand, and isn't that what she wanted to fight for anyway?
"You're beautiful even if your skin color is not as pale as snow, beautiful even if your face have some blemish, the important thing is that you're happy." and I admit, I've detected a lot of plot holes, I can't even pinpoint how the main characters fell in love with each other. It just suddenly happens.

But it's not that bad to deserve such hate, at least give something a few more thoughts before putting a comment to hurt the author. They deserve some praise for giving ppl some story for leisure even if it's not that great

It has nothing to do with racism. In many countries, pale skin was once considered a beauty ideal, bc the working class was mostly tanned and often had freckles from the sun, calloused hands from hard labor and so on. This "flawlessness" clearly distinguished the nobility from the peasants.

I don't understand you people's argument. Is what you're describing not still racism? It makes no sense that you choose to disguise the word racism as just the beauty standards of the time. So what if it started in the past, shouldn't the new generations know better now that we have seen the negative impact such ideals like that have had and continues to have on our society. Past, present, or future it's pure racism. It's always funny to see people with this type of thought process because I just know that you're living in a false reality. Instead of seeing things for what they are you choose to make excuses for disgusting and shameful works like these because the hateful messages these brainless animals spread doesn't bother you because you have never been on the receiving end of it. Take 30 minutes and reflect on why you both went out of your way to shield this garbage, and if you still see nothing wrong, please don't respond.

You didn't understand what I explained in my comment, but you're behaving rude, condescendingly and making assumptions about me.

Since you obviously don't know how to define racism, please google it. What I meant was the class difference between their own countrymen at that time. You clearly lack sufficient historical knowledge, so please read some history books and novels from earlier centuries, because your general knowledge is very poor.

Not everything is racism, even if people like you like to think so. And though it's really none of your business, I'm not "white", so don't even try to accuse me of racism.
