I loved this. For lots of reasons - many of which other comments mention - but particularly because it’s the ONLY manga/hwa/hua I’ve ever seen that treated a teacher-student relationship appropriately. When Gilsung found out, his first response was “isn’t that statutory rape?” When Jungwon reports the situation (at Hansol’s urging,) there are solid adults who actually acknowledge the severity of the situation and don’t let the school get away with just transferring the teacher. Nor do they blame Jungwon, because he’s the victim here; it doesn’t matter if Jungwon pursued the relationship - the teacher is an adult and it was his responsibility to reject his student’s advances. He’s called out as the trash sex offender that he is. I really can’t overstate how much I appreciate that.
yes yes and yes, it was very liberating to say the least. people like the teacher should really seek help, go to therapy, etc to stop perpetuating the cycle of abuse. he was pitiful, but actions have consequences, cancer or not; an adult should never be with a minor period
