I kinda feel like Hardy would eventually give in, not that easily but still giving in. He himself admitted that he cant bring himself to hate Abel as he fell for him, but he is devastated that Abel didnt trust him and broke the trust that Abel would respect him (ch 42 raws). I think the bigger devstation for him would be learning how Gray manipulated him and caused his engagement to break off. I too hope that Hardy escapes from this mess and clear up his name and return back to his family or become a mage with that mage guy
I just want to know that there's a moment when MC finds out that everyone around him lied and drugged him and forced him and forcend themselves on him and manipulated the shit out of him and he had a breakdown and I know that would result in all of them having a groveling arc instead of mc just fucking off somewhere else to live a good life away from all of them, but please please I need to know he doesn't just get over this easy peasy
