The emperor survived and imprisoned the empress, while Perez becomes the official crown prince but unfortunately Tia and Perez had to break their engagement. Sorry that's about the part where I finished reading the novel and some parts is a bit fuzzy from my memory (▰˘◡˘▰)

As far as I remember, the emperor is actually close on dying because the empress was mixing poison in his drinks everytime. Ye they broke up because of perez became the crowned prince and tia being the matriach (an empress cannot be the head, they need to leave their family and be part of the imperial family). They cannot change the law if perez became the emperor because it's only gonna do harm on tia and he doesn't like that, what he did is he made a deal with the emperor to make a letter(?) about changing the law about the empress when the emperor is on his death bed (he is dying lmao) when the law was signed the emperor died (idk i think few days after or immediately since perez also gave him poison lol). They got back together!!! Perez now the emperor and they're engaged (no they did not get married immediately since tia still need to do something on the Lombardi house). I think rest is gonna be bonus eps and I'm not goona spoil it
