after waking up from his nightmare the first thing he did was to look for rosa and, interesting enough, he asked her “why do you keep disappearing?”, which only reminds us of how he thinks she abandoned him years ago when she stopped visiting him at the orphanage. so, as we can see, he’s not scolding her for being rough, he’s pretty much telling her to not abandon him again. then, when rosa asks him if he’s going to marry suryeon he “jokingly” asks her if she wants to run away and elope with him instead (which is a strange thing to say with a straight face) because it doesn’t seem casual and it rather feels like something he would be willing to do, eventually.
