I agree, her mental age is 20+ and he was like 13/14 when their romance first started developing, T-T maybe I find it weird bcuz it’s her sons friend. It’s okay for a younger boy to have a crush on an older woman but I find it weird for the older woman to reciprocate those feelings even if it was later on… it essentially feels like grooming to me

Grooming doesn’t only mean an adult explicitly manipulating a child for abuse. People also use the term when there’s a significant maturity gap and an older person slowly reciprocates or encourages a younger teen’s feelings. Even if nothing happened until later, I still personally find the dynamic uncomfortable because she knew him as her son’s young friend.

Plsss nooo it was almost love at first sight and they seem to respect each other as friends and confidants, and not as fl replacing his mother as all the other characters around her are doing. I get where the ship is coming from, but I cant enjoy this story if shes going to be romantically involved w a man w mommy issues or a son shes raised twice in her lifetime TT its literally her only gripe restarting her life that she wasnt able to be romantically involved aka be seen as a woman and just a mother since she was sold off at 14
