I was wondering the same thing. Like maybe he gave up his body to save his people. Plus it's clear that something happened between them and the humans since theres a whole mountain preventing anyone from entering.

I remember that in TGED universe, The demon lord is encased in what looks like.. some kind of stone and the other demons are on the verge of starvation once again, I wonder if this means that this manhwa will get a tragic ending
