Maybe just I'm a Taehee glazer (he's my Top 3 frfr) but he had always been someone that does things for his own sake, plans meticulously and avoids making mistakes by any means necessary.
Right now, his actions are confusing, like a push and pull with how he's currently treating Jaegyeom. It's supposed to be confusing since Taehee himself is feeling conflicted. I strongly recommend reading the novel to understand more of his character and inner dialogs even though I personally think this adaptation did well at that.
