Sigh I read this when it first came out and loved it just bc it had rough toxic and downright abusive smut and dynamic, but in a nuanced and mutual way. I started skimming around season 1 finale bc the story started getting real. Finally now that it’s ended I reread it all and I’m so glad I read it when it came out and read it now. It’s genuinely so good. I do rlly like that all the side characters feel just as real as the main ones, it feels like there’s multiple other stories that already exist among every single side character. Of course we could get a side story about Scott and Martin, or Henry and Daphne, but they were still lowkey given closure, even if they weren’t focused on. Who I’m REALLY interested in hearing the story about was Joel and that sexy buzzcut man with piercings??? And I don’t think it’s too hopeful to ask for, the author gave us just enough vague details to get us hooked but like that’s it, no closure, THERES NO WAY THE AUTHOR ISNT PLANNING A SPIN OFF WITH THEM. And I want it so bad. Older omega and… idk if it said what the other guy was (I don’t think it even said his name) but I’m hoping Younger Beta bc I like non alpha/omega pairings. Giving the older omega the set up to a trauma filled backstory since he was groomed by the directors ex husband at 17? Showing he’s avoidant and we got a younger troublemaker who won’t leave him alone? Genuinely the perfect set up for a DELICIOUS spin off.
