as much as some people hate it or love it, it's the actual point of naruto. his incessant positivism and belief on the good within people no matter how small it is. if sasuke's been granted pardon, it's most likely orochimaru too. and i don't think he'd really gone back as a full-pledged konoha ninja. he has a connection there but did not exactly go back, just decided on his son to study at konoha village(or rather, mitsuki decided on his own). they are totally in orochimaru's lair in his own mist village.
also, as for naruto x sasuke rivalry, i don't see any vibe of that going on between bolt x mitsuki since sarada is the one that inherited the will of fire and bolt inherited sasuke's emo willfullness. bolt's more like an antihero for me more than anything. i already see a lot of difference of the new gen from the old.
Thanks shitty sequel for completely disregarding that orochimaru actually experimented on people (that's why he got kicked out of konoha). Now he's working with konoha and even acting nice(?) while justifying it and now youre gonna have that moon/sun thing that made naruto and sasuke so interesting (if not super queerbait-y) and cheapen it with cheap knock-off characters. I mean i already hated everything 700+ because so many things that has happened in it doesnt make sense, but this train wreck just keeps on chugging. All for the money.
I cant wait for the new series to be all about sharingan issues (like the red spring series).
