My thought was that he looks like Toshiro too :( Nothing bad with this short haired version, but i prefer his arrancar/final getsuga tenshou transformation style vise... That i find more original and (to me) it seemed to fit Ichigo better... Guess, maybe Kubo wanted to express the changes Ichigo gone through since then....
