Yup same here, its weird that they suddenly remember their past and its confusing this part if the chapter
Yeah, instead of the "instantly remembering each other without clear reasons". the mangaka should end it on a hopeful note where the human met the guardian angel and feeling all tingly/"I've just met you but I think I've known you for my whole life" (this is obv exaggeration but you got my meaning)/showing signs of attraction.
I think what they meant is that only asahi remembers him and since the people from the office dont rememeber thanatos he just goes along with it. Thanatos when he gave up his "life" or soul or whatever was reborn into a guardian spirit attached to asahi but he doesnt have any memories.
He the shinigami doesn't remember and is now a guradian. But the guy remembers.
The guy remembers, the shinigami is the one that doesn't. When Asahi was at the office he just played along since everyone's memory was erased

I don't understand the ending, at first the human lost his memory of the shinigami right? And then the shinigami reincarnated and he become a guardian angel and also lost his memory of the human, right? But then why in the last page they seem like they remember???
